How To Brainstorm Product Ideas

The first thing you need to do when asking yourself: What product can I create? is to start thinking about what skills, knowledge, and resources do you have that will help you create your first product.

People are entering the online world every day, not knowing what you already know. These people are your potential buyers.

In case you are new to the IM space, you need to develop a skill well enough so that you can teach it.

Take a look at Udemy, Community forums i.e. Warrior Forum, post questions on Social Media to see what people are struggling with. Then pick a topic and start exploring that field and learning the most efficient ways about it.

Udemy is the closest thing to an online university combining a wide range of credible experts to a wide range of different businesses delivering excellent training.
Find a product that relates to what you want to learn, purchase it and study it until you master it and can comfortably teach it. It might take some time but keep in mind, you’ll be able to sell your knowledge and help people.

Community forums are still one of the best ways you can find out more info on what people need help with. Reddit is one of those forums. Write down questions people need answers to related to your niche and use them as a plan for your products content. Keep in mind, just because something is already answered, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t include it, make it easier to understand and(or expand on it.

Social Media – ever since Facebook rolled out the new posting feature where the font is enlarged over a colored background, people started to notice it more and they are more likely to reply to any questions you post. You only need to stay in the allowed character range, which for a question shouldn’t be a problem at all. You got nothing to lose and more info to gain. So go for it.

In case you have been a part of the IM space for a while now, chances are you already have the knowledge and skills other people are struggling with. You might also be familiar with a lot of softwares from the JVZoo Marketplace which is probably the most obvious place to visit when researching for products as chances are someone has already created a product related to your topic. Now you can purchase this product and use it as your research and if you have your own idea for a software, you can hire a developer to get one created and supplement it with a course on that topic to create a product.

If you think about it, you’ve probably learned a lot while exploring the IM world and already possess certain skills and knowledge that others are struggling with. By creating a product utilizing what you learned, you will be helping these people achieve their goals.

Some of the topics may be:

– How to setup a WordPress website
– How to setup a website
– How to write a sales copy
– How to setup a sales funnel
– How to create Facebook ads

and the list goes on…

If you are committed to learning a skill, you can create a product. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t made any money online yet or you believe that you don’t have the necessary knowledge. Simply take a look at what skill you want to master and from there it’s simple – just pick a topic and become specialized in it.

Keep in mind that you are more likely to be consistent and succeed in learning a skill and developing a product from it, is if you are inclined towards it and keen in learning it. So pick something you enjoy doing.

Here’s how to brainstorm on some general and sub topics using mind maps such as Mindomo, Freemind, Mindjet etc…

So don’t just pick Video Marketing. People love specialists: “a person who concentrates primarily on a particular subject or activity; a person highly skilled in a specific and restricted field.”

Think about it, if a transmission on your Porsche breaks down. Would you rather go to a general car repair shop or a mechanic that deals only with Porsche’s?

Specialize in “Video Creation” for example. It doesn’t have to be a software to start of. You can learn the most efficient way to structure your videos in order for them to convert the most and then create a course from that knowledge. In this example, you can use proof from many top marketers, where people can see how they used a similar structure in their videos.
