Workflow Optimization: Create Reviews for Affiliate Products Faster

There are certain tasks that you can take which will optimize your workflow after you have received your review access, got approved as an affiliate and got your affiliate link to the product you are planning to promote. Exciting right? Well let’s dive into the workflow that will help you do as much in as little time possible.

What you wanna do first is create your product review and show your viewers inside the product. You can take a look at how to create a good product review here:

You’re going to need VidIQ extension for your browser, graphics editor such as Youzign or a free one like Canva for example and of course software to record your review video with, like Camtasia for example.

Before doing anything I suggest you go ahead and create your review video if you haven’t done so yet.

The first thing you might wanna do after creating your review video is save and export a raw copy and name it (Product Name) Honest Review or just (Product Name) Review. What this means is simply create a video from your Camtasia (or any other) recorder, without adding any lower thirds intro’s or outro’s to your review video. Why would you do this? In short for live events. There a lot of software’s out there that allow you to take prerecorded videos and post them on Facebook as a Facebook live event.

Why is this cool? Well as far as Facebook SEO goes, live events are still a priority when it comes to Facebook’s news feed and these live events rank the highest. Meaning, live events are the first thing you are going to see if there are any currently going on.

So this does 2 things:
1. Takes the edge of while recording your video, because you don’t actually have to do a product review live right there on the spot and 2. as mentioned, your video is more likely to get noticed on Facebook’s timeline.

It will take some time for that video to finish rendering. While the software is doing that, start writing your WordPress blog post review (use the same title as for video) and create your thumbnail as well.

You might want to create a custom Thumbnail for your Youtube videos. This is the image that will be seen before the video has started playing. Or if your review video is on your bonus page, this is the image visitors will see before they hit start, unless you set it to autoplay of course. I suggest the thumbnail is easy to read and uses the same template for all of your reviews so your viewers get accustomed to it so that when they see it, they immediately know it’s one of yours new product reviews.

Something like this for example:

For ranking purposes, you want to name the thumbnail image the same as your video title.
You will be adding this thumbnail to Youtube and you can add it on your WordPress blog post as a featured image.

Ok so after you have created a raw version of your review and named it appropriately, oh and btw we do this so your video will rank higher on Youtube and Google search, not just so you can be appropriate.

you can now go ahead and add Intro, Outro and if you want a fancy lower third at the beginning of your review video where you can write your name or your brand and the name of the product. Then create this Youtube Version of your review video.

While this one is rendering, you can finish up writing your review and also go to Youtube and type in (Product Name), or (Product Name) review and see if you can find the top ranked videos that are already uploaded. What you can do now is use Chrome extension called vidIQ Vision for Youtube and simply click on one of the top ranked videos and copy and paste the tags of one of those ranking videos.

This is done by clicking on the little icon here:

and then simply paste them to your WordPress blog post.

When your Youtube Version video is finished rendering go ahead and upload it to your channel. The title will be added automatically with the name of your video file. Paste your tags here as well and add your custom thumbnail.

Now you have your title, thumbnail and tags set. Of course you’ll need a description.
The first thing you want to write is something like “Check out the bonuses here: LINK TO YOUR BONUS/REVIEW PAGE” or “Check out my full review and bonuses here: LINK TO YOUR BONUS/REVIEW PAGE”
After this if you already have your written review of the product, I suggest you copy and paste the “Personal Summary” of that in, if not then you can easily use what’s already written on the JV page under the description of the product.
Underneath that you can type in “Relevant Search” and just stack your tags/keywords one underneath the other.

At the very bottom put links to your other review videos you have previously uploaded and put the link of the one you are about to publish, so right after you publish, you can edit the description and put the link in.

Ok, you have your video uploaded, now you can take the URL of the Youtube version and insert it into your blog post and bonus/review page. Copy and paste the title, description and tags if possible to your bonus page builder. In case you are using Igloo this is where you would enter them:

the right sidebar will open:

click that little wrench icon up there and then copy/paste your title and description.

Ok that’s it 🙂

Since you have the Raw version as well, use it to post a Live event on Youtube and Facebook. You can use OBS software which is a free software, to stream your video as a live event both on Youtube and Facebook. This will definitely help with the rankings.

Get review access – get approved as an affiliate – record your review video – export 2 versions (raw and fancy edited one) – while they are rendering create a thumbnail and start writing your WordPress blog post – find top ranked videos that are already uploaded and copy tags – add tags to your blog post, your Youtube video and on bonus page settings if possible – write description and publish your video – add the URL to your blog post and bonus page – use the raw version to publish as Facebook live and/or Youtube live.
